6 1/4" Outstanding Stone Age Neolithic Fatyanovo Culture Battle-Axe Porphyry
6 1/4" Outstanding Stone Age Neolithic Fatyanovo Culture Battle-Axe made of Porphyry Granite. circa 2900 to 2050 BC. This is a very nice old world axe. Most Neolithic drilled axes from that part of the world arnt as defined as this one is. The distribution on this style is likely larger than we have researched but appears to be most prominently from Scandinavia and the forests of Russia. It has just a few porphyry spots scattered through the granite which add to its attractiveness.
