Giant 5 1/2" Neolithic Agate Ornate Dragon Totem or Roller found in most likely China. The level of detail and quality of the stone used are absolutely amazing with this piece. Agate gets a bit hazy on its surface but usually doesn’t hold much for patination beyond that due to its hardness. With that said we think it’s an ancient one but agates and other stones of the quartz family are hard to tell. We guarantee it is but arnt subject matter experts on an artifact of this type. The artist that made it regardless of era made was a true master. The use of agates in daily life is believed to be life enhancing in many ways. There is a wealth of info on Agates properties that past cultures as well as many present believe they hold. This is a very large agate that the artisan made this ornate sculpture from.
