4 3/4" Modern Giant Pine Tree Made by Robby Robinson
4 3/4" Modern Giant Pine Tree Made by Robby Robinson. Through the mid to late 20th Century Robby made a lot of beautiful hand crafted arrowheads out of mostly Hornstone he gathered himself near where he lived. He is best known for his over sized pinetrees but made all types of points that he saw found in his area. Back then almost no one ever signed any arrowheads. They weren’t so valuable as they are today and artist recognition wasn’t a thing on stone. That being the case it’s hard to come up with nice examples of his work that can be 100% confirmed as his. This point is a classic example of his work and I showed it to his son to get a second opinion on the maker. Joel agreed it most likely is one of his. Robby was an aboriginal percussionist who followed with steel serrations and copper notching on his pine trees which is how this one is made. A nice addition to any modern collectors collection.
