4" Fossilized Stigmaria Bark from the Mississippian Geologic Time
4" Fossilized Stigmaria Bark from the Mississippian Geologic Time. Stigmaria from Division Lycopodiophyte, Class Isoetopsida, Order Lepidodendrales. 4 1/2" by 3 1/8" Nice display piece that lays flat. The surface appears to be sandstone with small gold pyrite flecks scattered all through it. Found near a coal bed in Monroe Co., Mo.
