Native American Artifacts, Arrowheads
Lot 463:
7 5/8" Catlonite Trade Pipe
Catlonite Trade Pipe. These are always hard to tell how old they really are. This one was likely made over the last 75 years or so. The plains Indians used catlonite to make pipes from catlonite for the past two thousand years and still do. This one appears unused. I did blow through it to see how much pressure it allowed through. Feels like a tight suction which would work good for recreational smoking. Would make a nice display piece as well.
Condition: Authentic
