4 3/16" Flint Ridge Dovetail made by Roy Miller in 2013. This is a special stone on top of an extremely well made piece. This dovetail has an area of green in it which is the most prized color to be captured by the knappers who use Flint Ridge Flint from Ohio. Roy is likely the most famous of knappers in North America, having made beautiful dovetails and e-notched Thebes from colorful flint ridge since the 1970’s. Roy was always a modest and honest man having grown up Amish with strong values instilled from a young age. If your in Ohio you should attend the Flint Ridge Knapin which can be found via a web search. He is a wealth of knowledge and always willing to share what he knows about stone.
