Measures 14 1/2" long by 8 1/2" Tall. Elaborate Quapaw Dog Effigy Water Bottle made by Bonnie Boatner. For those familiar with Bonnie and her sisters Barbs work this is considered one of the top 3 Dog Pots they made in their years or pottery making. Thru trial and error and not sharing their knowledge with the other pottery makers of Arkansas they have made pots for decades which in every aspect except for age are true to form, material and natural dyes used. The only way to definitively identify that you have one of their works is to have it tested by Thermoluminescence dating. Authentication papers mean absolutely nothing on their works as it pertains to age. Due to the caliber of work they have consistently done for so long many collectors knowingly adorn their shelves with these makers works right next to their good old ones. The sisters have retired from pottery making in these last few years which will only make the value of their work appreciate that much more as time passes.
