Vintage Elaborate African Drummer Hand Carved Mahogany Sculpture
Hand carved from mahogany in Ghana West Africa. Mahogany is a wood prized for its rich luster and fine grain. The beauty of this piece is further enhanced by the skills of West African artisans, who take great pride in their attention to detail. The drumsticks and tops of the drums are native sese wood. There is a missing peg on the inside of the drum as shown in photo which is only noticeable on close inspection. Excllent condition. This statue measures 12 5/8" by 6 1/2"
