Indian Artifacts & Collectibles Auction
Lot 444:
2 1/2" Quartz Geode Ball
2 1/2" Quartz Geode Ball found by Rodney Grey in Scotland County, Missouri. Where geodes are bountiful indians used them heavily for axe manufacture. Because of their composition quartz geodes that are all to mostly solid do not break or chip easily. In the process of use pecking against granite or flint they naturally take on a round appearance and often became used as game balls. This geode ball has tons of small geode pockets on it which makes it quite unique.
