Indian Artifacts & Collectibles Auction
Lot 448:
3 Gray Tabular Blades from NE Missouri
3 Gray Tabular Blades from NE Missouri found by Rodney Gray in Scotland county, Missouri. The Warsaw Tabular Flint is a lithic material specific to SE Iowa. In its formation it is often so thin it was difficult for indians to make the arrowheads they desired but such thin pieces still made a fine edged knife for their cutting requirements. These blades measure 2 1/8" to 3 3/8"
