WWI DRAGON Trench Art Naval Landing Gun Casing
WWI DRAGON Trench Art Naval Landing Gun Casing. This is a very rare shell that was used in Trench Art and the artistry is exquisite. It is one dragon going all of the way around the shell with its head catching up to its tail. Embossing is pebble dash. The bottom of the shell has what appears to be a patch of lead at its center. On the inside there appears to be no damage but we dont want to tamper with it to find out. What can be made out on the base reads G. M. CO. Lot 2 with an anchor symbol after it and JBS. There is what appears to be a name stamped on it DAN__ER. Couldnt make the name out completely. This shell measures 9 1/8" tall.
