1918 METZ WW1 Trench Art Artillery Shell Casing. This shell commemorates the French army entering Metz and reclaiming it from Germany in 1918 following the armastice. The city returned to France under the Treaty of Versailles in 1919. The base of the shell reads Nov 1917 ST 195 with a couple other stamps that have wore down where they cant be read easily. It measures 9" Tall
