Matching Set of 2 37 MM Trench Art Casings YPRES
Matching Set of 2 World War 1 37MM Trench Art shells welded on 3 7.9 MM Ball Ammo expended casings which serve as leggings for the displays. Ypres is a Belgian city and municipality in the province of West Flanders. During the First World War, the Second Battle of Ypres was fought from 22 April – 25 May 1915 for control of the strategic Flemish town of Ypres in western Belgium. The First Battle of Ypres had been fought the previous autumn. The Second Battle of Ypres was the first mass use by Germany of poison gas on the Western Front. Both measure 6 1/2" Tall.
