1918 World War One 37 MM Trench Art Shell Casing FRENCH 55 ENC. This appears to be a company or regimental commemoration. It reads 55 ENC with a Castle below it. It also has the dates 1918 and 1919 with FRANCE going horizontally between the dates. The dates would symbolize the end of the war in 1918 and the Treaty of Versailles in 1919. The base of the shell reads 37-85 PDP 268 1 18. It measures 3 7/8" Tall
