1916 MEMORY OF METZ 75 MM Trench Art Casing. This artillery shell commemorates Metz in World War 1. It reads Souvenirof Metz The World War 1914-1918. From top to bottom the shell depicts the double cross all the way around, An eagle with the Frence and American Flags crossed before it, the double cross with flowers in the center, and a world globe taking up the lower 3rd of the Casing. The base of the shell reads DEC A TE 29 L 16 R. It measures 13 5/8" Tall
