WW1 Battle of COTE 1917 75MM Trench Art Artillery Shell Casing. This piece commemorates the Battle of "COTE – 304". It is adorned with the impressions of vines and leaves. Cote 304 is a hill top on the west bank of the river Meuse which formed from 6 March 1916 the center point of the 1916 Battle of Verdun on the west bank. The base of the shell reads 75 DEC MGM 635L 17 USA. It measures 10" tall.
