WW1 American Expeditionary Forces 75 MM Trench Art
WW1 American Expeditionary Forces 75 MM Trench Art Casing. This shell commemorates the AEF in World War 1. It depicts tree limbs with leaves and acorns on them incorporating a variety of trench art techniques. This is a very elaborate piece. It is done in pebble dash with overlapping vertical short lines which signify rain. The base of the shell reads AM LOT 75 m/m G. LOT 1058 SCOVILL. It measures 13 3/4". This shell has a couple of other stamps but does not reflect the date it was made.
