19th to Early 20th Century Intricately Hand Crafted Tribal Silver Saudi Arabia Bedouin Large Bead Strand Necklace. Very nice condition for its age. We removed the original cordage used to string this necklace to test the amber beads to ensure they truly are Amber then restrung this piece as it was. While unstrung we measured the Amber separate to get a weight on it. The Amber beads weight 197 grams. They vary in size slightly. Size is approximately 1 1/4" at their widest point diameter and in and around 1" on the narrowest diameter. While dissected we took separate photos of the amber beads to show their nice condition. Total weight is Measures 33" diameter and weighs 680 grams. The scroll amulet measures 6 3/4" wide and long counting the dangles. From the Chuck and Eillean Hoffman Collection. Chuck and his wife spent time in the 1980’s teaching in Saudi Arabia bringing back little treasures like this one from their adventure.
