Pre-Columbian Incan Jade Mace Head
Pre-Columbian Incan Jade or Jadeite Mace Head. Nicely developed artifact with a nice surface finish and good patination. Comes w/ a Jerry Dickey COA. Jerry believes its likely from California or Meso America. There are various thoughts on how these were used. Mace head being the easiest to make sense. Someone was telling us that in California stones like this were used as part of a system to determine direction by prehistoric Native Americans. Measures 2 15/16" by 1 7/8".
