19th Century Maritime Themed Watercolors Painting by M. Bennetti - Lobster Fishing
M. Bennetti was an artist active in the 19th century, known for creating watercolor paintings. This Painting by Bennetti portrays fishermen checking their lobster pots. The painting gives us a glimpse of how lobster were caught in that era. While detailed information about this artist is scarce, some of his works, such as moonlit seascapes, maritime themed paintings and still-life compositions, have been auctioned and appreciated for their artistic quality. Professionally framed this is an elegant work with a hard to notice fault. The painting is torn or creased across the center as shown on close photos. Someone did a very nice job preserving this piece. Professionally framed. Frame measures 13 1/2" by 9 1/2". Although some of this artists paintings are shown in online history there isn’t much information on this artist on the web.
