1800’s Scrapbook Containing 1865 Illustrations of Gunn’s Medical Flora as well as Medical Flora. This scrap book was put together with 2 wood boards which were hand etched and painted with a simple cloth spine. The contents of the book consists of a section from the 1865 Gunn’s New Family Physician, or, Home book of Health which is a quite rare book to find intact. From the book the creater of this scrap book used the Illustrations of Gunn’s Medical Flora as well as Medical Flora: or Vegetable Materia Medica 788 through 936. A testement to the preservation of needed written word used by our forefathers over 150 years ago. Externally made of wood this book is quite rough with a few minor scratches. Internally a few pages are tattered on the edges from use with some age toning as expected.
