The book is a rare collector’s item and provides insights into the life of Eugene H. Angert. It was written by Eugene H. Angert Jr.. The Julian Edison Department of Special Collections at Washington University in St. Louis holds the Eugene Angert Papers. These include correspondence and other materials related to a memorial tribute for Eugene Angert. Eugene H. Angert (1877–1929) was an accomplished American lawyer and writer. Born in St. Charles, Missouri, he earned his A.B. from St. Louis University in 1896 and his LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1899. He practiced law in St. Louis and became a member of the law firm James, Hacker, Sullivan, and Angert in 1912. Angert was also known for his wit and charm, which were reflected in his writings. He authored musical comedies and other works, including "The Perpetual Student" and "The Flag Hunters".
