3 1/2" Semi-Translucent Quartz Blade found in Logan County, Illinois
3 1/2" Semi-Translucent Quartz Blade found in Logan County, Illinois by Dean Downing. We don’t see many arrowheads or blades made of this material in Missouri and Illinois although the stone was available scattered in streams where there is glacial deposits of stone. Looks very much like quartz used by Native Americans in Virginia and along the East Coast.
