Maya Cylinder Late Classic Period Vase Circa A.D. 550-950. 6 1/4" Tall x 4 5/16" Wide. These vases were typically used by the elite class for drinking a bitter chocolate beverage made from cacao beans. The intricate, carved decorations possibly depict a scene from the Maya underworld, Xibalba.
