Buyer's premium:

This finely made Casas Grandes (Paquime) nodular bowl measures approximately 3 3/4 inches in diameter and 1 5/8 inches tall. Formed from a light brown clay with a naturally darkened interior, the bowl displays two complete rows of evenly spaced rounded nodes encircling the exterior rim, a distinctive decorative feature of the Paquime ceramic tradition. The surface shows extensive micro pitting, mineral weathering, and a matte texture consistent with significant age and low fired prehistoric pottery. The interior exhibits a natural shift toward gray to black coloration, typical of ancient firing conditions and long term use. No paint is present, aligning with known examples of plainware nodular vessels from the Casas Grandes region. This is a well preserved and desirable small example of Paquime craftsmanship, notable for its complete and symmetrical nodular decoration.

One side may have minor restoration or an old mend, though it blends well and does not detract from the overall presentation.
