Neolithic Period 7 3/8" Southeast Asian Flaked & Ground Stone Axe
Authentic Neolithic Southeast Asian flaked and ground stone axe measuring 7 3/8 inches in length and dating to approximately 3000-1000 BC. The axe displays a pronounced hafting area with tapered poll and expanding blade, a characteristic form associated with Southeast Asian stone tool traditions. The artifact was initially shaped through percussion flaking and subsequently ground and polished into its finished form, with numerous original flake scars remaining visible across the surfaces. These surviving manufacturing traces clearly document the ancient production sequence and provide an excellent study example of prehistoric stone tool technology.
