Group of Six Ancient Metal Artifacts found in Northern China

Group of six metal artifacts comprising a variety of pointed and bladed forms including probable awls, drills, projectile points, and related implements. The assemblage includes five iron examples and one smaller copper-alloy artifact displaying green patination. The largest artifact measures approximately 5.25 inches in length.

The artifacts exhibit forged and cast forms with substantial age-related surface patination and corrosion. Several examples retain elongated tapered points consistent with piercing or perforating tools, while others display leaf-shaped blades and tanged construction associated with hafted implements. The smaller copper-alloy specimen preserves an attractive green patina developed through long-term oxidation.

Visible manufacturing features include tapered tangs, pointed working ends, flattened blade sections, reinforced midrib construction, and forged profiles. Despite oxidation, multiple specimens retain recognizable original form and manufacturing details.

Condition varies throughout the group. All artifacts exhibit oxidation, corrosion, edge wear, mineral deposits, and age-related surface losses consistent with burial and archaeological recovery. Original surfaces are partially obscured by corrosion products, though the overall forms remain identifiable.

Examination supports identification as authentic ancient metal artifacts. Ex Northern China.
