Mid-Century Hand Painted Chinese Style Concrete Plaque with Dragon and Immortal Imagery
Hand painted concrete plaque decorated in a traditional Chinese style featuring a coiled dragon or serpent spirit on the left and a robed immortal figure on the right surrounded by auspicious cloud motifs. The imagery draws directly from classic Chinese mythological themes associated with protection wisdom and celestial power.
Cast in a cementitious material the reverse shows the granular texture and natural wear typical of mid 20th century concrete construction. The painted surface displays age appropriate patination enhancing the pieces folk art character and visual appeal.
