Original 1830’s Utagwa Hiroshige Japanese Woodblock Print – Edo Period. Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) was a master of the ukiyo-e woodblock printing tradition in Japan. He is renowned for his beautiful landscapes and depictions of everyday life during the Edo period. Another of this print by Utagwa Hiroshige can be viewed at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Nicely framed this woodblock print is in very good condition. Age toning as often is the case with prints of its age. The frame measures 20 1/4" by 14 1/4". We didnt remove the print for measurements. From the life time collection of Chuck and Eileen Hoffman.
