1700's Thai Gold Gilt Bronze Ornate Standing Buddha Statue
1700’s Thai Gold Gilt Bronze Ornate Standing Buddha. Highly detailed piece. Many of the sockets on this bronze statue have glass or gems. Still in excellent condition with chipping to the gold gilt as would be expected for a statue of its age. We inspected this Bronze very closely for faults. The metal appears intact without repair, it has excellent patination and has been seated in a wood block. Gold gilt bronze statues from the 18th Century like this one are very hard to come by in this good of condition. It measures 18" counting the wood block.
