Pre-Columbian Mayan Frog Effigy Poisons Bottle found in Central America. Very nice pot with great definition. Exhibits correct manufacture and outstanding patination. Minor damage to the frogs toes on the front feet as shown in the photos. The Mayans used poison frogs for the tips of their weapons to take down prey. The frog symbolizing poison in Mayan Culture would dictate that this pot was used for keeping a poison solution in it. 5 1/2" Long and 3 1/4" Tall. Guaranteed for thermoluminescence dating.
