16th to 19th Century Spanish Colonial Kero Cup or Goblet
16th to 19th Century Spanish Colonial Kero Cup or Goblet. Not a normal design of Kero Cup this piece was likely made by a Spaniard or a heavily influenced Incan maker for a Spaniard. More refined than traditional Kero cups of Peru it is more likely 18th or 19th century. Surface is hand incised and painted with tree and what appear to be apples on the tree. Apples were introduced to Peru in the 16th century. This cup is in very good condition with heavy hand polish from use, fading and minor chipping to its original paint. Measures approximately 5 1/4" tall.
