3 Lobi Bateba Phuwe Altar Figures From Burkina Faso.
These figures are considered protective house spirits by the Lobi people and are placed on shrines in homes. The bateba sre believed to act against forces that could harm the family. These appear to be very old with damage consistent with the bugs from the area. The longest figure is 9 inches.
