Incan Copper Alloy Mace Head (Modern Made)
Incan Copper Alloy Mace Head (Reproduction). Incans did make a few of these. Their method of manufacture was the lost art of cast molding which didnt leave grinder/abrasion marks on the surface as this one has. Copper mace heads and other artifacts are some of the more rare and prized artifacts that the Incans made. This one does show a greenish tint so its got a little age to it or been treated chemically. Besides its end manufacture scratches on the surface the anatomy of the piece is very good and a nice representation of the artifact type. It measures 5 inches diameter, about 1 1/8" thick and weighs 1 pound 9 ounces.
